Here is An Awesome Way to Get Passed Cravings
The advantage of doing the keto diet is that you don’t have to starve on the diet as you do with other diets.
The reason you don’t starve or have feelings of hunger is because you are not eating starchy carbs and eating a lot more fat than you are used to eating. Carbs have a tendency to make you hungrier later on which is something you become aware of as you do the diet.
I don’t think anyone can stick to the diet 100% especially at the beginning when you are trying to get passed a lot of habitual eating you’ve done over a long period of time.
In fact, a lot of the habitual eating, especially stress eating, is one of the main causes of people putting on weight and becoming obese. When you have a day or two when you’ve eaten more carbs than is allowed on the diet, which is 20-30 grams a day, you may find that eating more carbs makes you more hungry.
And then you can get a real sense of how you’ve put on weight over the years. It’s the carbs. It’s a vicious cycle which can be broken if you stick to keto for a period of time.
So the cravings may come, and a lot of it has to do with stress. So what do you do? Below is a list of things you can do to tame the hunger dragon. This will help satisfy you when you are hit with cravings.
10 ways to get past cravings
1. drink more water – put lemon juice in it, and a little salt
2. break your pattern – discover and be aware of the thoughts and actions you might take that get you to feeling your cravings, especially if these are stress related
3. go take a walk
4. get outside and look at nature, go into your garden if you have one, look at a tree or flower of plant, even looking at photos of nature can help
5. pop in a fat bomb – if you don’t have one do this – take some nut butter, mix in some coconut oil, butter and/or MCT oil, add some cocoa powder (unsweet) add some stevia or monk fruits sweetener to taste and leisurely eat this, saying yum yum with as big smile on your face. You can find tons of fat bomb recipes on the Internet.

Your cravings if usually are temporary. When you are feeling these feelings do something to break the pattern. In NLP (neuro linguistic programming) it’s called a pattern interrupt.
The more you do this, the more you it will become a habit, and the easier it will be to get past your cravings. And THAT will become a pattern that supports you rather than sabotages you.
